Who We Are
250 United is a collaborative, nationwide effort to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by honoring the presence, voices, and contributions of Asian Americans throughout U.S. history.
This initiative was started by a group of dedicated individuals with diverse backgrounds—from culture and advocacy to science, business, education, and civic life—coming together with a shared belief: that Asian Americans are not peripheral to the American story—we are co-authors of it.
Our Origins
The campaign was initiated in early 2025 by a working circle of volunteers committed to ensuring that Asian American communities are visible, included, and empowered during this national milestone.

Our Planning Committee
Our Planning Committee includes individuals and organizations from across the country representing the full spectrum of the Asian American immigrant experience. It is intentionally diverse—balancing voices across ethnic groups, generations, and sectors including:
- Cultural preservation and heritage
- Civic engagement and public policy
- Science and education
- Small business and entrepreneurship
- Media, youth, and interfaith communities
This team is not a governing body, but a coordinating group working to build bridges, support grassroots participation, and ensure balance and inclusion in programming and messaging.
Advisors & Honorary Members
We are guided by the insight and experience of honorary supporters and advisors—including educators, community elders, historians, artists, nonprofit leaders, and public servants—who offer perspective and encouragement as the movement grows.
Their role is not administrative, but reflective and connective—helping ensure that this campaign is grounded in wisdom, integrity, and long-term vision.

How We Work
This is a community-built effort. We encourage broad participation—not just from formal organizations, but from families, youth, local leaders, volunteers, and cultural voices who may not always be represented in national spaces.
We believe that true visibility comes from working together without competition, spotlighting collaboration over hierarchy, and staying rooted in shared values.
