America250 is leading a nationwide commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, creating opportunities for people and communities across the country to participate in this historic milestone.

DOI250AA is proud to be an America250 Supporting Partner. Through this relationship, America250 provides a national platform for DOI250AA and events across our network to join a broader commemoration—building visibility and momentum through many individual programs and celebrations.

he Jack Miller Center (JMC) is a nonpartisan educational organization dedicated to strengthening civic education and understanding of America’s founding principles, history, and institutions. Its national network connects educators, scholars, and civic leaders committed to informed citizenship.

DOI250AA is represented on JMC’s National Civics Council, providing opportunities to engage with its broader civic education community.

In preparing the DOI250AA National Gathering, JMC staff generously shared their knowledge, contacts, and logistical experience. They welcomed us to their events, facilitated introductions, offered practical guidance, and provided thoughtful feedback and encouragement.

We deeply appreciate their openness, professionalism, expertise, and generosity, and are honored to recognize the Jack Miller Center as a Civics Collaborator for the DOI250AA National Gathering.

Bringing DOI250AA’s America250 Asian American Celebration and Future Builders Series to Philadelphia takes strong local support—people who know the city, open doors, build relationships, and make things happen.

The Chinese American Chamber of Commerce, with Matt Zhang leading its local support, has contributed significant time and resources to venue visits, community connections, vendor sourcing and quotes, logistics coordination, and outreach across Philadelphia’s Chinese and Asian American communities.

Co-host support may include, but is not limited to, marketing, staffing, decorations, vendor coordination, stage and venue setup, AV, event production, and other approved local resources and services that help bring these experiences to life.

DOI250AA is about turning what we have into something that benefits others. Loving Hut and its restaurant associates are putting that spirit into action.

Founded in 2008 and inspired by the vision of Supreme Master Ching Hai, Loving Hut has grown into an international family of independently operated vegan restaurants promoting compassion, healthy living, respect for animals, and care for the planet. Many U.S. operators are Asian American entrepreneurs, making their participation especially meaningful.

For our inaugural DOI250AA National Gathering, Loving Hut associates are traveling from across the country to Philadelphia to prepare and provide hundreds of plant-based boxed lunches and breakfasts for volunteers, staff, and participants, along with additional support for the gathering.

As a Participant Sponsor, Loving Hut shows how we can bring what we do well, contribute with purpose, and create opportunities for others to participate, connect, and grow.

For Dr. David Yee, becoming a stakeholder in America is a six-generation family journey.

His ancestors include Dr. Yee Fung Cheung, a Gold Rush-era herbalist credited with saving California First Lady Jane Stanford in 1862, and Ming Young Lee, who helped build the Transcontinental Railroad. Through David’s grandaunt, Jeanie Jew, Lee’s story helped inspire AANHPI Heritage Month.

David carries that legacy forward through medicine, education, philanthropy, and public service. His medical service has reached Vietnam and Thailand, earning recognition including the International Leadership Foundation’s Civic Leadership Award and Chiang Mai University’s Faculty of Medicine Crystal.

For more than 25 years, Weihaur Lau has helped people break through cultural barriers, find their authentic voice, and connect more meaningfully with others. A third-generation Chinese Malaysian immigrant, he has coached more than 5,000 people and facilitated groups ranging from community organizations to leaders across Silicon Valley.

His experience spans emotional intelligence, integrative health, public health, leadership development, and cross-cultural dialogue. As founder of BeAwaken Coaching and nonprofit Awaken Inner Voices, Weihaur creates spaces where people move beyond cultural barriers and surface conversation to find their voice, build connection, and grow together.

As DOI250AA Program Lead, Weihaur helps shape the entire weekend experience—connecting programs, people, and conversations into one purposeful journey of participation, connection, reflection, and growth.
